The Daredevils method is based on the principles of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Neuroplasticity. It has its own specific structure in which theory and personal examples are mixed in a natural and clear way. Explanations and exercises give direction to insight and healing. The (E)books are an opportunity of sharing content with others like family, teachers, coaches or best friends. Thereby the chances of healing will increase!
This training is written for pupils from high school who suffer from study stress, who block unnecessarily in or outside of school, in a cognitive or social setting, and for whom this becomes a pattern. They feel more and more frustrated, suffer from mental and physical complaints, lose their motivation, and sometimes get depressed. They need help to regain their self-confidence and motivation and then get better results. This method helps them to reach this in a short period of time. A personal training has been proven to be very effective.
Students from graduate schools or universities can also suffer from too much study stress and blockades. There is a special book and training for them. Study and social circumstances are different now and self-discipline is often a challenge, so insecurity is lurking and can easily develop in procrastination and loss of motivation. When I guide young people in a training, I always ask their parents to read along because it gives them a clear insight about their child’s blockade. When teenagers suffer from mental blocks, there is no point in telling them to work harder. It won’t make them feel understood at all and this will have the opposite effect. Maybe they feel blockade-stress because they fear disappointing others. Parents play an important role in helping to reset the emotional pattern of thoughts by discussing it in an open and safe way, and this method offers them a clear structure.
When pupils or students are underachieving and losing their motivation more and more, it is worthwhile to examine the true causes, which might be fear of failure or blockade-stress. Teachers who are warning their students a lot to work harder could unintentionally lead them to too much stress. In a preventing and healing way this method gives them tools to lower the students' adrenaline and therefore help them to recover and get better results. Counsellors who guide and take care of the mental health of students could very well reinforce this method. Teachers and counsellors can use the book, follow a training-course or subscribe for a 4 day registered education to become a Daredevils trainer. Relaxation is a very good way to help change your thoughts. If your body relaxes, you are better able to look inside. You become aware of your faulty thoughts, and this allows you to let in new thoughts. When you are consciously repeating these new thoughts, you will change the connections in your brain. That’s why it will make you stronger and reduce your stress levels.
We call the thoughts you convert to images during relaxation visualisations: you make your thoughts visible (visual) to yourself. Visualisations are a powerful tool to change and strengthen yourself!
