During the Renaissance a snake eating its own tail was the symbol of the vicious circle. It is typical for someone to start feeling smaller because of an increasing problem which is caused by insecurity. As a result frustration, loss of motivation and bad results can follow… The Vicious Circle belongs to the Daredevils method
The goal of my approach and method is to step out of this circle! Just like the emoticon on the cover of the book indicates:-)) I use this symbol as a strong visual signal of the Daredevils method.
The vicious circle starts at a moment of tension when fear of repetition (the worst thought) leads to an overdose of adrenaline that causes a mental block. It looks like this when you make it visible:
This is an example of what the vicious circle of a mental block looks like. Without recovery the negative thought will become stronger. This is how you – subconsciously – sustain the circle.
Another one:
Expectations feel like you ‘have-to … because otherwise…’ and its pressure is counterproductive. Stepping out of the vicious circle means you have to become aware of your unconscious 'having-to-thoughts' that lead to an overdose of adrenaline and change them in a conscious way.
